MARTA buses

We've been trying to get the MARTA buses off Sycamore for years now.

Why? Because there's almost parallel route going down Winn Way. Because few people get on or off the bus on Sycamore, and those few could walk to/from the MARTA station, Pinehurst & Winn, or Church and N. Decatur. Because the buses are noisy (especially when stopping and starting at stop signs, and soon we'll have stop signs at both Pinehurst and Fairview). Because the vibration caused by the buses may be contributing to the relatively frequent sewer and water liine breaks along Sycamore. Because people riding the buses could be casing out houses to break in or cars to steal.

Annie told us in the 7/23/07 meeting that one route has been dropped or moved, but one remains.
